Fabric weight decides whether the bag lasts a day or years

Branded tote bags handed out at trade shows are usually made from 120 to 150 g/m² cotton: light, easy to fold into a pocket and the most economical option, but they lose shape when loaded with weight. From around 240 g/m² upwards, the fabric is already canvas: it can take a bottom gusset, reinforced handles and several kilos without coming apart. Between 280 and 400 g/m², you get bags that feel like shop quality and that people use every day for years.

A higher fabric weight makes the bag more expensive, but it also means many more months with your logo out in the street. If your budget is fixed, it often makes more sense to order fewer units of a better bag than lots of one that gets thrown away after the event. Recycled fabrics, such as recycled cotton or RPET polyester, follow the same logic, and you will find them alongside the rest of our eco-friendly merchandise: what matters is that the bag gets used.

Branding techniques for fabric bags

The price on each product page includes one-colour branding in the standard print area. More colours, both sides or a different technique are adjusted in the quote.

• Screen printing or screen transfer: solid colours in the exact shade of your brand, the most common option for logos in one to three colours. With transfer, the ink is printed first onto a carrier and then applied with heat.
• Digital transfer: full colour, with gradients and fine detail. Ideal for complex logos or short runs with many colours.
• Embroidery: the most durable finish and the one that gives the strongest product feel. Choose heavy canvas and logos without very fine lines or small text.
• Faux leather label: engraved and stitched on, discreet, on the models that allow it.

Common mistakes when ordering tote bags with logo

• Choosing a 120 g/m² bag to carry weight. It loses shape with shopping; for that, go for 240 g/m² canvas or more.
• A logo that covers the whole side. Branding of 20 to 25 cm centred on the bag is already visible from a distance, and the bag is carried without feeling like an advert.
• Embroidering onto thin fabric. Embroidery pulls the fabric and creases it; keep it for canvas.
• Forgetting contrast. A light ink on natural cotton gets lost, and the mock-up shows you before you pay.
• Short handles on a bag meant to be carried on the shoulder over a coat. Check the handle length on the product page.

Trade shows, office and counter

At trade shows and conferences, a lightweight tote is the classic promotional tote bag: it holds the day's documents and leaves the venue hanging from the shoulder. If you want it to survive the journey home, move up to canvas and adjust the quantity; you will find the rest of your stand items in event merchandise. For races and activity days where people need their hands free, a drawstring bag often works better.

Inside the business, a canvas bag works as the packaging for a welcome kit or a year-end gift, and then keeps being used afterwards.    Upload your logo

   In vector format (SVG, AI or PDF); if you only have it in PNG or JPG, we will check it. Within 24 working hours, you receive your quote and free mock-up, with the bag already branded.

3. 3

   Approve and pay

   Nothing goes into production until you approve the mock-up. The usual lead time is two to three weeks of production, depending on the technique and quantity.

   Receive the bags

   With tracking, to one address or split between several sites, across the EU.
