Capacity comes first: choose the mAh before the casing

The choice that most affects the size, weight and price of a branded power bank is not the colour, but the capacity. Bear in mind that the number on the label is the cell capacity: between voltage conversion and losses, the phone gets roughly two thirds of that. A 5,000 mAh model gives a bit less than one full charge for a current smartphone, weighs between 100 and 130 g and fits in a pocket: it’s the standard event and conference format. A 10,000 mAh one gives between one and two charges, comes in at around 200 g and is the middle ground for gifting to a team. Models of 20,000 mAh or more last several days away from home, but go over 350 g.

The second factor is output power, in watts. A 10 to 12 W port charges slowly; a USB-C port with 20 W Power Delivery restores a good part of a phone battery in half an hour, and to charge a laptop you need around 45 W Power Delivery or more, depending on the device. If your company mostly uses phones with magnetic charging, magnetic models attach to the back and charge without a cable; with the Qi2 standard, the magnet aligns the coil and charging is more stable. What you can personalise and how the logo is applied

• Laser engraving on aluminium and bamboo: the logo appears in the tone of the material, does not chip off and lasts as long as the device does.
• UV printing in full colour on plastic casings, for logos with several colours or gradients; pad printing works well for one or two-colour logos.
• The price on each product page includes one-colour branding in the standard area, usually the main face. A second colour, another position or a different technique is quoted in the quote.
• Casing colour depends on the model: black, grey and white almost always; brighter colours only on some.
• Your logo is best supplied as a vector file (SVG, AI or PDF). If you only have a PNG or JPG, we’ll check it and tell you whether it will work.

Ask for a sample before production

With electronics, we always recommend ordering a sample before the full run. In your hand, you can check what a photo does not show: the real weight, the feel of the casing, whether the included cable is short, or whether the charge indicator is easy to see. In the meantime, we prepare the free mock-up with your logo placed on the model, and you only pay once you approve it.

Production usually takes two to three weeks from that approval. Lithium batteries have stricter transport rules than the rest of merchandising, so if you have an event date, tell us when you request your quote and we’ll allow enough time. We ship with tracking to one address or split across several sites, throughout the European Union.

Where they fit and what to pair them with

A personalised power bank works in three situations. At trade shows and conferences, the pocket-size format is one of the few items visitors use the same day, and it fits naturally with other event merchandise. When onboarding new starters, a 10,000 mAh model with an integrated cable avoids the classic forgotten-cable problem. And as a year-end gift, a magnetic model or an engraved aluminium one makes the detail feel more premium without moving away from everyday tech.
